Celebrate the Holidays with Tutoring Chicago

The holidays are a special time at Tutoring Chicago, and this year is no exception! While our typical festivities will look slightly different this year, we still have plenty of opportunities for you to ensure a festive holiday season for 900 Chicago students.

Each year, students write a holiday letter that includes a wish list with requests for something they want, something they need, and something to read. We send these letters to donors (businesses, families, etc.) who purchase, wrap, and deliver the gifts to Tutoring Chicago. Gifts are due by December 10 at 4:00 pm.
Contact Kelly Flippin, Director of Development and Marketing, for more information.

This holiday season, in lieu of our typical Jingle Mingle fundraising event, you can host a virtual or in-person small group fundraiser, following COVID-19 guidelines, to support Chicago’s students.

The Mini Mingle fundraisers are taking all forms: happy hours, game nights, virtual experiences, and more. You can choose what works for you and your community! Click here to learn more!

Gift organization volunteers are needed December 7-11 at St. Vincent De Paul Center to collect, audit, and organize gift deliveries. Gift distribution volunteers will hand out gifts on Saturday, December 12 at seven locations across Chicago. Click here to sign up for both today.

Please contact EL Da’ Sheon Nix, Community Relations Director, with any questions.

Gifts will be distributed on Saturday, December 12 at different locations around Chicago. Gift distribution sponsors will provide a delivery truck and driver OR can underwrite the cost for Tutoring Chicago to rent the truck/driver. Distribution locations are TBD, if your company would like to make use of your parking lot or other open space, please let us know. Please contact Kelly Flippin, Director of Development and Marketing, for more information.

Many of the children enrolled in Tutoring Chicago have faced extraordinary barriers to learning this year. In addition to being hardest hit by the economic impact of the Covid-19 crisis, students are missing in-person school for prolonged periods of time, greatly impacting their educational achievement. This holiday season please consider making a financial gift to provide the full one-to-one Tutoring Chicago experience to a student who needs it the most.
