Our SMART program focuses on five areas of student achievement: Social Emotional Learning, Mathematics, Accountability, Reading, and Technology. Students and tutors have access to a wide variety of high-quality resources and activities designed to meet each student at their academic level. Sessions are held once a week for 90 minutes.

  • MIDDLE SCHOOL TUTORING PROGRAM

The Middle School Tutoring program features a curriculum designed specifically for 6th-8th grade learning needs with a focus on preparing students for high school transition and continued success in their education. Sessions are held once a week for 90 minutes.

  • LIT PROGRAM

The Literacy Intensive Tutoring (LIT) program is a structured reading curriculum. Students and tutors will focus on a variety of literacy components including letters and sounds, sight words, writing, and reading comprehension. This is not a homework program, students will be assessed and must qualify for this program. Qualifying students are considered to have difficulties reading at grade level and show an academic need for extra instruction in reading and writing. Students attend 90 minute sessions twice a week.

  • HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

The High School Program provides students with a continuation of one-to-one tutoring and mentoring in areas that will lead to skill development important for success in high school. The curriculum will cover executive functioning, organizational skills, and preparation for the four years of secondary school. This may include support for academic course success, taking advantage of high school resources, reflection surrounding college and/or career readiness, as well as overall self-management and social awareness skills. Students will continue one-to-one tutoring support with flexibility in scheduling sessions with tutors once a week.
