Last month, we said goodbye to Program Director Ravi Shah. We wish Ravi all the best in his future endeavors! Read Ravi’s farewell message below:
After long consideration, I have decided to transition out of my role at Tutoring Chicago and pursue my professional growth in the field of education in other ways. I am both excited and feeling bittersweet about concluding my time with the organization. The work that Tutoring Chicago has done for decades with thriving tutoring pairs is commendable. I am always in awe of the incredible volunteers that show up each week to help our committed students become stronger learners and more confident individuals. This confidence paves the way for so many positive educational experiences – and I am proud of the work that has been accomplished in my time here. Strengthening the program team to support our constituents while bringing the most up-to-date research to our curriculum and programming resources has been so rewarding. In my time here, I have interacted with wonderful families and tutors that make the work that Tutoring Chicago does possible. I am grateful for the time I have been able to support the organization and its contribution to a more equitable state of education. I am excited to see the incredible staff keep the mission and vision of Tutoring Chicago alive. I look forward to continuing my support for the organization and hope to see many of you around in the future. Thank you!
We appreciate the passion and professionalism Ravi brought in his years at Tutoring Chicago. Our very own Leslie Guthrie, whom many of you already know from her prior role on the Program team, has stepped in as Tutoring Chicago’s new Director of Program and Operations.
