The Singleton family’s journey with Tutoring Chicago began when their daughter, Destiny, reached a tough stretch in school, when a challenging math class left her feeling defeated. Despite the long commute, the support she received from her tutor, Martin, made every mile worth it. With his help, Destiny not only grew to love algebra but also gained confidence in her writing. Martin’s impact extended beyond academics—he offered guidance on friendships and even encouraged her to pursue scholarships.
Now in high school, Destiny continues to meet with Martin virtually while also tutoring a student of her own through TC. She brings the same thoughtful approach she learned from him: asking for feedback, clarifying questions, and celebrating progress. Her student’s recent report card, filled with A’s and B’s, is a testament to Destiny’s dedication and empathy.
Her younger brother Robert shares her love for math and has seen his own transformation through Tutoring Chicago. Once struggling with reading and Spanish, Robert now proudly brings home report cards filled with A’s and B’s. He’s especially proud to show his family how far he’s come.
