November Program Updates
It’s been a busy month since our last newsletter, with students completing pre-assessments and fun cultural learning opportunities like Diwali, Halloween and Election Day! Find out about our free resources and tips for at-home learning and how teacher feedback can help support students’ success.
After completing assessments during tutoring sessions, students can receive premium subscriptions for sites like Phonics Hero and IXL to continue their learning experiences during tutoring and at home! To access information for these Learning Applications and Benefits (LABs), visit the LABs section of the portal. Navigate to: My Student > View More Details > LABs
- Tutoring Chicago is a recipient of the Worldreader Booksmart grant, which means all of our students aged 3-12 can access high-quality digital books during tutoring and at home!
- View our Booksmart resource by clicking here so that you can open your student’s world up to reading adventures in interactive ways. The Booksmart application can be used on a computer or Chromebook browser, or downloaded onto any Apple/Android device.

Parents/guardians were sent an email to collect academic information from teachers. In order to ensure that Tutoring Chicago can best support you, we attempt to collect feedback related to academic progress and needs. More information will be shared on how to view this data!
