Laughs. Inspiration. Community. Tutoring Chicago’s 7th Annual Celebrity Spelling Bee at The Second City had it all. THANK YOU for being a part of our 60th anniversary celebration and for partnering in our mission to bring the power of education to underserved Chicago students.

Special thanks to our Second City host TJ Shanoff and to this year’s incredible roster of celebrities including Chris Witaske, Kevin Fishbain, Beverly Kim, Jamila Woods, Cliff Chamberlain, and Micah Materre–who took home the 2026 trophy with Team Capital One-Shine Bright Community Center.

Together, we grossed nearly $160,000 in support of the record number of students enrolled in our free one-to-one tutoring program this year — that’s 1,400 Chicago students like Destiny (pictured above with our celebrity spellers) with bright futures ahead.
